User-friendly UNIX

Today I ran a virtual image of PC-BSD, which was voted the most beginner friendly operating system by OSWeekly.com in August 2006.

PC-BSD logoBased on FreeBSD, a branch of the Berkeley Software Distribution UNIX, PC-BSD is cleverly combined here with the KDE graphical user interface, making it consumer-friendly and appealing to the casual computer user.

Most of the mainstream applications running on Linux are being ported and made available as simple executable files for install.
Here hare two screenshots taken unde the very OS and showing some of the applications running: a Web browser, a PDF viewer, the file explorer and a multimedia player.

Public domain T-shirt template

Having failed to find any existing T-shirt template, I quickly made one based on a manufacturer specifications sheet using Inkscape. I hereby publish t-shirt_template.svg in the Public Domain.
